In recent years Tenby has been awarded many Blue Flag awards in recognition of its clean beaches and water. In 2012, the North Beach, the Castle Beach and the South Beach all received a Blue Flag Award and Pembrokeshire's beaches received a total of 10 Blue Flag awards, supporting the view that the area is one of the cleanest holiday destinations not just in Wales, but the entire UK. The other winning beaches in Pembrokeshire were: Dale, Lydstep, Newgale, Poppit Sands,  Saundersfoot, Coppit Hall and Whitesands.  Windsurfing is also very popular in both Tenby and nearby Saundersfoot. The Tenby Sailing Club is open during the summer months and visiting Yachtsmen can use its facilities. There are several good riding stables in the area.  Tenby indoor heated swimming pool and leisure centre is approximately500 yards from the Caravan Park entrance. Beach Riding Nolton Stables is superbly located to offer spectacular beach riding, as well as hacks through visually dramatic coastal fields and their own private, woodland valley. Day visitors and beginners welcome (ages 4 years up). Blue Lagoon Wales Blue Lagoon is an exciting indoor water park with a whole host of activities for all ages, including waves. There are rapids which take you outside, slides which twist and turn (two in darkness!) as well as the lazy river for the more serene approach. Caldey Island A fleet of boats run from Tenby Harbour, every day except Sunday, throughout the summer months, weather permitting landing on Caldey Island. Tickets can be bought from the relevant booth on the harbour. Carew Castle The magnificent Carew Castle has a history spanning 2,000 years. Set in a stunning location, overlooking a millpond, the castle displays the development from a Norman fortification to an Elizabethan country house. Carew Karting The Place to Race! Cadet Karts available for 8 - 15 years with Thunder Karts (the fastest karts in the business!) for 16 year and up. Beginners and experts welcome at the 500m outdoor, high speed, tarmac track. Coasteering with Celtic Quest This activity centre (50mins from Tenby) is dedicated to Coasteering - an outdoor activity involving Rock Hopping, Adventure Swimming, Cliff Jumping, Scramble Climbing and more - exploring the coast at sea level.   You do NOT need to be a strong swimmer but you must be aged 8 years and above. Coasteering with TYF Coasteering couldn’t be more simple – squeeze into a wetsuit, safety helmet and old trainers then scramble, climb, swim and cliff jump your way around Pembrokeshire’s spectacular rocky coastline, turning rocks, cliffs, caves and waves into playthings! Colby Woodland Gardens Set in a tranquil and secluded valley, this glorious informal woodland garden with a fascinating industrial past is always bursting with colour and wildlife. Cwm Deri Vineyard Situated 12 miles from Tenby (25 mins) you can stroll through the beautiful grounds, with the vineyard and modern winery building right in the heart of this Estate. After exiting the waters of Carmarthen Bay after the 3.8km swim, the athletes will take on the challenge of the 180km bike course through the fascinating countryside of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, passing numerous castles and iconic landmarks. The medieval town walls and picturesque beach front provide an impressive backdrop for the concluding marathon through Tenby. Picton Castle Set in 40 acres of wodland, Picton Castle is a lovely day out for the family. Tenby Golf Club Established in 1875, this is the oldest affiliate club in Wales and one of the finest links courses in the UK. Tenby Leisure Centre Tenby Leisure Centre has grown from being just a swimming pool to one of the town's most popular facilities with a sports hall facilitating 6 badminton courts, football, volleyball and hockey amongst others, as well as a dance studio, fitness suite and café. Tudor Merchants House Step back 500 years and discover how the Tudor merchant and his family would have lived in this fascinating three-storey house, situated close to the harbour within the historic walled town of Tenby. This is a National Trust House. Upton Castle Grounds This tranquil and little known corner of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park extends to 35 acres of delightful grounds  and include a mature Arboretum, formal rose garden, herbaceous borders, Victorian walled garden and Medieval Chapel.  Walk on Water Sports Based on the seafront in Saundersfoot (3 miles from Tenby) Walk on Water Sports offer kitesurfing and powerkiting, as well as kayak hire and sales. Beginners and advanced welcome with a family taster session also offered. Zorbing Nolton Stables is also the home of Zorbing Wales where, put simply, you roll down a hill in a big inflatable ball!
